rss feed Channel Link Question?

My blog’s main URL – it’s front/first page – changes twice a month as I archive older entries. This works out okay from my main website, as the BLOG link is updated twice a month as well, but if I create and publish an RSS feed, and someone subscribes to it, won’t their subscription “disappear” when I start publishing the next batch of files using the newest front page URL as the channel’s link?

Obviously I know almost nothing about publishing a feed. I’m assuming the way feed readers maintain a subscription is by identifying a feed by the link the channel had when it was first subscribed to.
PAYNELESSDESIGNS: I appreciate the referrals, but I do already have an XML generator, and none of these websites answers my specific question. Just looking for an answer to the question.
