Which websites provide a free handwritten daily summary of print news?
Slate.com has retired one of the earliest news aggregators, “Today’s Papers”, a once-a-day newspaper and magazine round-up. Unlike automatic news aggregator websites like Google News, “Today’s Papers” was a handwritten running text. On each day, it summarized the events that made headlines in the major US newspapers. The service that replaces it, Slatest, is not as concise and does not have an archive.
The purpose of my question is that I want to be able to read a short text every day (no more than one page or two) that informs me of that day’s happenings in a concise way. Ideally I’d be able to have this sent to me by e-mail for future reference.
Please note, rss readers are not an answer to this question — I want to know if there are any free services where a human editor summarizes the day’s print news.
Sorry, there’s no human editor for web news.
